What is Plane?

Plane (formerly known as Pilot) is an HR and payroll platform that helps companies pay and manage their workforce globally. It provides an all-in-one solution for HR needs, such as hiring employees and contractors, managing payroll, and handling benefits and compliances across various countries.

Plane guides users through the entire employee onboarding and hiring process. Its platform stores all employee and contractor records as well as documents like payslips, contracts and tax forms centrally.

For international hires, it helps with employee visa and immigration processes. Transfers of intellectual property for global hires are seamlessly done through its two-step IP assignment feature called Plane Direct IPs.

Users get support for global HR policies, benefits such as health insurance, and other country-specific requirements. Expense reimbursements, time tracking, and leave management can also be handled through the platform.
